Meet The Team

BGR Group has a flat management structure, which promotes clear accountability, communication and teamwork, ensuring the specific needs of each of our clients are met, and exceeded. The business has a major investment in customer oriented Subject Matter Experts and quality leadership whose role is to ensure client needs are understood throughout the organisation. Additionally, BGR Group recognises and understands the need for expert advice and guidance across a wide range of business areas, and as a result has access to further expertise to ensure high levels of business monitoring. This further expertise is critical to high levels of review and governance.

Richard Reed

CEO

Richard takes on the role of CEO. His experience is in the Telco sector building communications infrastructure via an apprenticeship with Telecom, then later founding the successful business, RT Communications Pty Ltd., which grew to become one of the largest privately owned Telco infrastructure businesses in the country employing around 100 staff, primarily across the eastern seaboard. Growing a business of this size from start-up spanning two decades has given Richard the experience required in the infrastructure sector to grow and manage a private business. From managing people, projects, quality assurance, and risk, Richard has had hands-on experience and is uniquely qualified as CEO.

Ben Barter

QSE Manager

Ben takes on the role of QSE Manager. His experience is in both IT and domestic construction. Ben is the founder and Managing Director of BSB Building Pty Limited, trading as Indie Living, a company whose goals are to find innovative solutions for designing and building high end Custom Homes. Ben is a licensed builder and has established himself as a building professional who understands how to operate successfully within the highly regulated construction industry. During Ben’s career he has transformed himself many times to adapt to changing needs and the impacts of social and political environments. He is a committed business man who networks easily and effectively to ensure he is actively involved in the building process from concept to completion.

Greg Reed

Operations Manager

Greg takes on the role of Operations Manager. His experience is spread across civil, commercial and domestic construction and as the Managing Director of Coast and Valley Building completed such diverse projects as commercial fitouts, fire door hanging, tilt slab warehousing, power plant infrastructure, Monopoles, pit & pipe networks for signalling, optical fibre and power, and foundation slabs for base stations and transformers. Greg brings his huge and varied skill set, eye for detail, attention to quality processes and reputation in the industry for delivery to the role.

Rob Iacconi

HR & Logistics Manager

Rob takes on the role of HR and Logistics manager. Robs experience spans 35 years in construction and civil project management and has been part of senior project teams for major projects including Building the Education Revolution (BER), Liverpool rail turn-back and the award winning Stockton ferry wharf and Tanilba Bay wastewater treatment facility involving significant public and private sector stakeholder engagement. He holds a postgraduate qualification in Project Management from the University of Newcastle specialising in procurement, risk resource management and project communication with additional ongoing research into Environment Planning and Decision Making.
